Wood carving goes back to the beginning of time. African men carved wood to create weapons, shields for ceremonial events, and for everyday utility such as chairs, tables, and home décor.  A9D works with three master carvers in Ghana to make our masks that embodies the  African-American culture and the Divine 9.  These carvings are not manufactured but created by hand.  This craft is taught and handed down from one generation to the next.
